Supporting farmers in the process of transitioning in and out of farming

The IFTN is a network of service providers from different professional backgrounds (e.g., accountants, lawyers, farm managers, ag lenders, extension educators, etc.) working to assist farm businesses with their successful transition to an identified successor(s).

Service Providers

The IFTN provides trainings on farm transition and succession planning coordination. For details, visit the Seminars page.  Upcoming trainings are posted on the Events page.  Links to Resources on farm transition and succession planning from various organizations and institutions are available as well.

You may be at various stages in your farm transition:  identifying a successor, transferring management responsibilities, structuring estate plans.  Looking for someone to help with your transition planning process?  Farm Succession Coordinators certified by the IFTN may be found on the Coordinators page. Find additional information and tools for succession planning on the Resources page.
